Senior Pastor Josh Bennett

Pastor Josh Bennett and Donna have two girls (Marah and Eden) and live here in Colbert, GA. Josh graduated from the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega where he met his wife Donna through the Baptist Collegiate ministry. This is where Josh grew in faith and love for missions. He graduated from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity. Josh and Donna have served in varying capacities at churches from north to south Georgia. They have most recently spent the last 6 years pastoring a church plant in Elizabethtown, in the Adirondacks of New York. Josh is an avid fly fisherman, mountain biker, and hiker. He loves sports and watching his girls play basketball, softball, and soccer.

Elders

The Elders are made up of at least three non-vocational Elders and the Senior Pastor. These Elders are all Pastors of the church. The Elder body is made up of Josh Bennett, George Hill, Keith Marriner, Ted West, and David Smith.

Deacons

Deacons/Deaconesses help provide loving care to our church family, especially when a church member is home bound, in the hospital, or has lost a loved one. After office hours, our members can contact the Deacons on call to help with urgent needs.
Deacons at Riverside are Cathy West, Sherry Murray, Dan Lampe, Iris Newbury, Dennis Muller, Travis Hambree, Mandy Bouknight, and Eddie Bouknight.
